“Enough is enough” – Transgender community in Abuja holds public protest

The transgender community in Abuja has come out to hold a public protest in the street against the federal government, urging them to focus on the insecurities in the country and leave them alone.

The protest which was held on Sunday, May 1 was recorded and posted online as they laid out their complaints. Yesterday being workers’ day seemed the perfect day to air their thoughts to the federal government as they await a change.

The protest took place at an open park with several protesters rocking  T-shirts with various inscriptions including “Trans lives matter,” and “Queer rights are human rights.”
They also held up a banner, urging the government to focus on more pressing issues in the country like growing Insecurity,  Injustice, and food insecurity among many others. Watch the videos below;
