Man City decide Gabriel Jesus transfer price tag as Arsenal plot summer bid for striker

Manchester City has set a price for Gabriel Jesus, their striker, amid interest from Arsenal.

Arsenal has expressed interest in Jesus in recent days.

Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, is eager to work with Jesus as he seeks to strengthen his offensive line following the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arteta has admired Jesus from his time as Manchester City’s assistant coach at the Etihad.

Arsenal intends to spend substantially on a striker this summer, with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah both set to leave the club at the conclusion of their contracts.

According to the Mirror, Manchester City is asking at least £40 million for Jesus, with manager Pep Guardiola willing to let the Brazilian leave the club this summer.

Meanwhile, Man City plan on signing Erling Haaland from Dortmund for a fee of around £62m and that will push Jesus further into the fringes.

The Citizens will utilise the cash from the sale of Jesus to spend on Haaland.
