On Friday, a teenager was killed in an accident involving a petrol-laden tanker at Obiri Kwere Bridge in Rivers state’s Obio/Akpor local government area.
At the time of filing this report, the young girl’s lifeless body was still trapped beneath the tanker.
Another accident was averted as a result of security personnel arriving at the scene of the collision.
Because of the incident, there was a lot of traffic on the bridge.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Federal Road Safety Corps, and the Rivers State Fire Fighters were all on the scene attempting to restore normalcy to the area.
Eyewitnesses said the accident may have been caused by over speeding.
