Olubukola Olaboopo, lawyer and immediate ex-Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs in Osun has expressed his intention to contest for House of Representatives seat of Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin federal constituency.
This was contained in a press statement personally signed and made available to newsmen by ex-Osun commissioner, Olaboopo in Osogbo.
Olaboopo who recently resigned as Commissioner said said she’s ready to make laws that will ensure development and growth of her constituency and constituents.
She also stated her training and pedigree are enough for her to clinch the ticket, also to win the election.
The former commissioner further stated that she has served most dedicatedly the cause of her mandate, committing unalloyedly to the social welfare priorities of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola. “The records of my stewardship in office are there for all to see.”
Her statement:
“I stand before you today most humbly, to indicate and declare my interest in running for the House of Representatives seat of the IBO Federal Constituency. I am your daughter, a grassroot politician and mobilser, a core ilerioluwa loyalist, a communicator and lawyer by training and a PhD holder by qualifications. I have aspired for the Boripe/Boluwaduro House of Assembly seat twice (2015 &2019) and until few weeks ago, the Commissioner for Women & Children Affairs, Osun State.
“In my capacity as a Commissioner, I committed myself to our State and served most dedicatedly the cause of my mandate, committing unalloyedly to the social welfare priorities of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola. The records of my stewardship in office are there for all to see. As I aim for the House of Representatives seat of Ifelodun, Boripe, Odootin Federal Constituency and flowing from my antecedents of being Masses oriented, a Humanist, a Welfarist, a Capital and Human development passioned politician, by the grace of God, I shall make a priority your welfare as Constituents, uphold your values and add value to you as individuals and the Constituency as a corporate entity.
“I shall uphold, by the grace of God, the dignity of the Progressive tendencies in our State, leveraging on the advise, guidance and tutorship of our leaders. I shall build on the footprints of our early fathers in Progressive Politics while I ensure that I am accessible and that we continue to share that communal bond which joins us and which I already have, established with you.Transparency and accountability shall be our watchwords as I ensure that we impact the lives of all; the aged, the middle aged, our youths, our women, our men and our children in the Constituency not minding affiliations or divides.
Olaboopo said she’s strongly believe that her constituency can be much more better, much more conducive for constituents to thrive and much more rewarding.

“As we move towards our Party Primaries and subsequently the elections, I yearn for your interest in my candidacy, your love, good wishes, genuine advise and support. I urge you to work most assiduously towards the reelection of our achieving leader, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola as there is no reward for goodness other than goodness. I count on you leveraging on your political and social circles and abilities at ensuring my emergence as the flag bearer of our Party, APC, at the forthcoming Primaries.
“I promise to take the Constituency to the highest attainable height in the comity of Constituencies in our Nation.” She declared.
