Nigerian man arrested in India for allegedly wandering in ‘semi-undressed’ state

Nigerian national simply identified as James has been arrested by the police for allegedly wandering in a “semi-undressed” state in Bengaluru, Karnataka in India.

The 33-year-old Nigerian, who is a resident of Hennur Cross in Bengaluru, was arrested by Sampigehalli police on Monday and taken up further investigation.

The police said the accused was found wandering near Shivaram Karanth Layout Park in an ‘almost undressed state causing embarrassment to women, children and people.’

James was later taken into custody and admitted to a hospital since he had injuries on his body.

According to local media, a police constable, Srinivasmurthy has lodged a complaint against him, stating that the accused seemed to be having mental issues and was not cooperating with the investigation.
