Bees kill pupil in Kano

Bees have reportedly stung to death a pupil of Yanoko Nomadic Primary school in Tofa local government area of Kano State.

The pupil named Ismail Hussainihat could not escape the attacking bees because he had a broken limb caused by sickle cell anaemia, according tp his uncle, Sanusi Dawakintofa, who spoke to Premium Times .

Confirming the incident, the village head of the town Habibu Bello (Sarkin Fulanin Yanoko) said late Hussaini was rushed to Tofa General Hospital where he died in the afternoon.

In other news some mourners at the palace of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi were attacked by bees sometime ago.

It was gathered that the attack occurred during the customary rites for the late king.

Recall that Lamidi Adeyemi, the Alaafin of Oyo, died some months ago at the Afe Babalola University Hospital in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti capital.

Adeyemi, who was aged 83 at the time of his death, spent 52 years on the throne.

The mourners were gathered in groups just outside the main palace area when the bees struck.
