Owo massacre: Tinubu visits Ondo over attack on Catholic church

Bola Tinubu, a presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), paid a visit to Owo, Ondo State, on Monday.

Following the massacre at St Francis Catholic Church on Sunday, Tinubu paid a condolence visit to Owo.

The APC National Leader met with Rotimi Akeedolu, the Governor of Ondo State, for an on-the-spot assessment.

Recall that alleged herdsmen attacked the Catholic church and killed worshippers.

During the attack, over 50 worshippers were said to have been killed.

In a related development, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has disclosed that 11 children and 22 adults who were attacked by gunmen at St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo state are on admission at the emergency wards of the Federal Medical Centre, Owo.

According to a statement by Sadiya Umar Farouq, minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management, and social development, officials of NEMA are at the hospital for an on-the-spot assessment of the situation.
