Rev. Father Osia, a Catholic priest who was kidnapped by gunmen in the early hours of today in Edo State, has reportedly been killed.
The priest was reported to have been abducted on Sunday morning in the Etsako West Local Government Area of the state’s Ikabigbo community.
In a post on his verified Facebook page on Sunday night, a fellow Catholic priest, Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, confirmed the murder.
He wrote, “Sad News: The priest of Auchi diocese, Rev Fr Christopher Osia, that was kidnapped this morning the 26th of June 2022 on his way to mass has been killed”.
