Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo, a forward for Manchester United, has spoken to manager Erik ten Hag in person about his desire to leave the club.

On Monday, Ronaldo took a flight back to the UK, and on Tuesday, he met with Ten Hag and top United officials.

The 37-year-old is adamant that he will leave the team this summer, but United is adamant that they are not looking to sell.

This was confirmed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on Wednesday evening.

Romano tweeted: “No changes yet for Cristiano Ronaldo situation. Manchester United insist he’s not for sale, Cristiano told ten Hag in the last 24h that he still wants to leave.

“His agent Jorge Mendes will try again to find a solution. Waiting strategy on, as last year with Juventus.”
