Insecurity: Be very careful – Kwankwaso warns lawmakers over Buhari’s impeachment

2023 Presidency: Kwankwaso set to dump PDP for NNPP

Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has admonished federal lawmakers to proceed with caution amid planned impeachment of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The former Kano state governor issued the admonition on Saturday in Ilorin, Kwara State while addressing newsmen.

He was in the state to pay a courtesy call on Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Some opposition lawmakers on Wednesday threatened to initiate impeachment process against Buhari over the perennial insecurity in the country.

Kwankwaso warned the legislators to thread softly

He acknowledged that there are reasons to be worried about the security situation in the country and advised the government to brace up to the challenge.

Kwankwaso, a former minister of Defence, however appealed to the government to reach out to people with genuine concerns with a view to addressing them.

Kwankwaso also visited the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and sought the blessing of the monarch.

The former Kano State governor was in Kwara to open NNPP offices in Ilorin and other parts of the state.

Earlier during the visit, AbdulRazaq urged politicians to play the game without bitterness.
