Man Drags In-Laws To Court Over Abduction Of Pregnant Wife

The police in Niger state have arraigned parents of a housewife in Kwankashe, Suleja, before a magistrates’ court sitting in Madalla.

The parents arraignment was sequel the abduction og their daughter from her matrimonial home.

According to the prosecutor, ASP John Ateni, Godgift Ekwedi, and his wife, Eshima Ekwedi, went to their daughter matrimonial home at Rafinsanyi area of Suleja and took her away without the consent of the husband.

He said they also removed house items worth N2.5m from the house and converted it to their personal use.

The accused persons denied the allegations and sought bail.

The Magistrate, Ruth Ibrahim, granted them bail with a surety who must be resident of Madalla and adjourned to September 5.
