In other news, the Kwara State governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has been brought before the Federal High Court in Abuja by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Due to alleged certificate forgery, the party wants the Kwara helmsman disqualified from the 2023 governorship election.

In addition to asking for an order disqualifying the All Progressives Congress (APC) from fielding a candidate, its original summons submitted to Justice Inyang Ekwo included that request.

In a lawsuit filed by Paul Erokoro, SAN, the PDP requested that the court issue an order compelling the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remove Abdulrazaq from the ballot.
