Nine passengers were killed and 10 others injured in a motor accident at Gada-Biyu on the Abuja-Lokoja highway.
According to Daily Trust, a witness said the accident happened around 6am on Sunday morning when an 18-seater Hiace bus with registration number: KTG 450 KQ, coming from the Lokoja axis crashed into a trailer parked by the road.
He said nine passengers died on the spot while 10 others sustained injuries, adding that the corpses had been deposited at the Kwali General Hospital, while the injured were taken to the Abaji General Hospital by men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
The Abaji Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Shehu Abubakar Dogondaji, who confirmed the accident, attributed the crash to speed limit violation.
