Traffic from the Maryland-Mende Underpass will be redirected starting on Tuesday by the Lagos State Government.
According to Frederic Oladeinde, commissioner of transportation, the closure was necessary to complete work on the Opebi-Ojota bridge.
The official assured residents that alternative routes had been mapped out to ease movement.
Oladehinde advised motorists to use the Ojota interchange to connect Maryland and its environs.
Motorists heading to inner streets can use Mobolaji Bank Anthony road to access Emmanuel, Aderibigbe Shitta and Adeoye Adeyemi streets.
Those heading toward Mende and its environs can use Mende Street to link Ajose Street and connect Oki lane.
However, the repairs of a section of the Lagos-bound lane at the Iyana Era/Badagry Expressway has been postponed till further notice.
The commissioner added that the new date would be communicated to the public.
