Security threats: Army solicits useful information from Nigerians

The authorities of the Nigerian Army have required spirited members of the public to provide it with any useful information that will aid in combating insecurities in light of the recent security threat at the nation’s capital, Abuja.

The announcement is made in light of security assessments by some Western nations, including the US and the UK, that the FCT is at high risk for terrorist attacks.

Government buildings and other locations with large gatherings of people were the target of the impending attack, according to the warnings.

Taking to its social media channels, the military authorities wrote an announcement directed to the general public: “Kindly report any information that will aid the Nigerian Army in combating insecurity.”

The announcement also listed several ways for people with useful information to contact the Nigerian Army.
