32-year-old man, Tolulope Falomo, also known as Ifa, has been arrested by the police for allegedly shooting and injuring three students of the Osun State College of Education, Ilesa, Osun State, during a recent protest.
The state police spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, who made this known in a statement on Thursday in Osogbo, said Falomo was arrested at his hideout in the Odo Oro area, Ilesa.
The statement read in part, “It would be recalled that on October 27, 2022, around 11am, while students were on peaceful demonstration/protest, Falomo shot at the protesters with a pump-action gun over an argument that ensued between him and the protesters and fled the scene.
“Three students of the institution, who sustained different degrees of injury on their arms and legs, were treated and discharged. The police command expanded its investigation to the nooks and crannies of the state and arrested him (the suspect) on November 7, 2022, at Odo Oro area, Ilesa, where he was hibernating and the pump-action gun used to perpetrate the act was recovered from him with one expended cartridge.”
