There is growing tension in Nsukka in Enugu state as a result of the alleged assassination of police officer yesterday night.
Reports have it that Corporal Oluchukwu Omenogor popularly called “Babylon”was shot and killed last night at Eha-Alumona Town in Nsukka Local Government Area of the state.
Though details of his killing was not yet clear but the deceased was a popular known for his exploit in tracking down hardened criminal in the state.
When contacted, Daniel Ndukwe who is the Police Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command couldn’t pick his call to confirm the incident.
However, a senior police officer in Nsukka Divisional Headquarters who pleaded anonymity told our reporter that the incident is still being investigated.
