EPL: Mbappe in shock move to replace Ronaldo at Man Utd

Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe is being “considered” by Manchester United as Cristiano Ronaldo’s replacement.

This week, the club terminated the 37-year-old’s contract, and he has since left Old Trafford.

After Ronaldo’s departure, United’s search for a new striker has become more urgent. This has been the case since the summer.

Ronaldo’s departure frees up a sizable chunk of the club’s wage bill and allows them to look to the top echelon or European football for a replacement.

According to the UK Mirror, United are keen to bring in Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain in January.

Mbappe is likely to cost them over ‘£150million’ plus a similar wage packet to Ronaldo of around ‘£500,000’ per week.

If Erik ten Hag could bring Mbappe in this January, it would be a major coup that could have a serious effect on the Premier League.

At 23, the Frenchman is already a World Cup winner and has netted an incredible 221 club career goals.
