The manager of Manchester United, Erik ten Hag, has said that the team had quickly moved on from Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Dutchman told MUTV that his current attention is on the future and ways to keep the club from imploding.

Asked how he had managed the situation, Ten Hag said: “He’s gone and it’s the past. We are now looking forward and we’re looking to the future.”

Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United was terminated after he granted an explosive interview to popular British journalist, Piers Morgan.

Ten Hag came in for particular criticism from the 37-year-old, who accused the former Ajax manager of not respecting him.
