Ibadan: Petrol tanker explodes after losing control

There was trepidation in Apata area of Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on Thursday after fully-loaded tanker caught fire.

It’s gathered that the tanker lost control and bursted into flames instantly.

According to locals who witnessed the incident, the tanker wreaked havoc at Apata junction.

The incident occurred opposite Oando filling station Thursday evening, DAILY POST reports.

One of the eyewitnesses said that the tanker, which was coming from Omi area lost control and rammed into a block of shops opposite the filling station and immediately burst into flames.

The number of affected shops have not been ascertained as at the time of filing this report.

But, men of Oyo state fire service have arrived the venue.

They were still at the scene of the incident as at the time of filing this report on Thursday
