NSCDC Tasks Female Squad On Professionalism

The elite female squad of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has been tasked with carrying out their responsibilities with a high level of professionalism.

This was said on Thursday at the passing out ceremony of the 270 female special squad in Minna by Dr. Ahmed Audi, Commandant General of NDCDC.

He declared that the Corps would keep up its approach of retraining and educating its employees to increase productivity and effectiveness.

Audi, who was represented by Bello Argungu, said he was impressed with the performance of the female personnel that were also trained on weapons handling.

Audi commended the Niger state government for its support to all security agencies in the state and called for more to succeed.

Reviewing the parade, Niger state Governor, Abubakar Bello, represented by the Commissioner for Education, Hannatu Salihu, pledged to provide security agencies necessary supports in the discharge of their duties.

Commandant of the Corps in the state, Ahmed Dandare identified inadequate funds as one of the factors militating against smooth operations of the Corps and stressed the need for all hands to be on deck to move forward.

Dandare explained that the new female squad as well as the training and retraining of its personnel was aimed at promoting and enhancing professionalism in the service.

Deputy Commandant Samson Friday, NSCDC Head of Training Department, said that the special female squad would be posted to educational sector to protect lives and properties.
