The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said the defeat of the Saraki’s dynasty in Kwara State was like a thunderbolt.

Tinubu stated this on Tuesday during the APC presidential campaign rally at the Metropoletian Square in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.

He said: “Your freedom four years ago was a thunderbolt across the country. You deserve a great congratulations, it is now for you to cement that freedom in the forthcoming general elections with your permanent voter’s cards (PVCs).

“It should be thumbprints and fingerprints. It is broom revolution. You have no other freedom, the symbol of freedom for sweeping fraud away, for cleaning corruption and sweeping insecurity away is the broom.

“We today we are just celebrating freedom. We are assessing and reasserting our freedom in a democracy. Yesterday you heard all the rumours that today will not happen, but it is happening in your life’s time. We thank you for believing in your governor. We thank for believing him. He knows how to behave. Very honest and genuine hardworking man.

“On the February you all to vote for the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. You don’t vote for anybody else, you vote for me.

“Vote APC candidate as president, National Assembly candidates APC.

“Then by March 11th vote AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, House of Assembly vote for all APC candidates too.

“Vote for me for the establishment of agric processing, commodity exchange and financial prosperity,”

The APC presidential campaign council Simon Lalong said: “Asiwaju Tinubu has done good. It is is turn. It is your turn.

It is our turn. If you chop alone you will die alone. He did not chop alone. That it is his turn to chop. That is why ‘emilokan’ is very important.

“I am standing in for our president who is the chairman of the campaign council. The President knew that this crowd will be here. He went for an assignment. There is no doubt we have seen it. We expect that this same crowd will be more than this after 25th of February.”
