Adamawa: Illegally-migrated Cameroonians arrested while attempting to kidnap businessman

A group of illegally migrated Cameroonians have been arrested by the police while attempting to kidnap a businessman, Emmanuel Ebel, in Jambutu, Yola North local government area of Adamawa State.

The state police spokesperson, SP Yahaya Nguroje, who made this known in a statement said the criminal activities of the gang were foiled on January 26 following credible information received from a good Samaritan.

Nguroje gave the names of the suspects as Chubrandom Nana Safinga, 30, a resident of Yaounde, Cameroon Republic, Ibrahim Tala, 32, a resident of Douala Republic of Cameroon, Ngosso Ndjombe, 28, a resident of Douala, Cameroon Republic, Mmai Bmie Rostand, 32, Douala, Cameroon Republic, and Nossu Ngambewo Ricky, 27 and a resident of Douala, Cameroon Republic.

He said that the police acted on the intelligence report and engaged the suspects twenty minutes before implementing their organized crime.

The state Commissioner of Police, CP SK Akande, while commending OC SIB and his men for gallantry performance and professional conduct displayed leading to their arrest.

Akande also directed them to sustain the tempo as a strategy for crime prevention.
