The Southern and Middle Belt Leaders Forum (SMBLF) have backed and endorsed the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as its preferred choice for the February 25 general elections, three weeks from now.
WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that the decision was made at the Forum’s extraordinary meeting in Abuja on Thursday.
The Middle Belt, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Afenifere, and Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) leaders comprise the SMBLF leadership.
The communique after the meeting was read by a former President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief John Nnia Nwodo.
