Gunmen have attacked the convoy of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Ebonyi State, Prof Bernard Odoh, and shot his driver.
According to PUNCH, the gunmen opened fire and shot at the driver of the Sienna conveying Odo.
Odo’s media aide, Charles Otu, who confirmed the incident, said the APGA candidate was returning from a campaign rally on Thursday night when they ran into the ambush at the Rest House area along the Enugu/Abakaliki expressway.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that in October 2022, Odoh accused members of the Ebubeagu Security outfit of shooting his convoy, which included his campaign team.
During a briefing with newsmen, he said no amount of intimidation would make him not pursue his ambition of becoming the next governor of the state in 2023.
