Ibadan: APC, PDP clash leaves three dead, many injured

One shot dead as rival cult groups clash in Delta

At least three people have been reportedly killed in full blown melee when fighting broke out between supporters of two political parties in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The fighting was between supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The incident occurred at Ile-Tuntun area of Ibadan South East Local Government Area in Ibadan.

Thirteen people were seriously injured during the clash that occurred Thursday evening.

Sime motorcycles and vehicles were damaged.

It was also learnt that the dead bodies of those who lost their lives have been evacuated to morgue.

Those who sustained varying degrees of injuries have been moved to various hospitals to receive medical attention.

Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Adewale Osifeso confirmed the incident to journalists.

He said that the case is under investigation.

“The case is under investigation as we speak, further update as regards the clash will be communicated accordingly”.
