Distraught Chimaroke calls Peter Obi ‘scourge’, blames him for senatorial election loss

Former Enugu governor Chimaroke Nnamani has embarked on vituperation spree after losing the senatorial election of Enugu East to Labour Party candidate, Kelvin Chukwu.

The controversial former senator blamed LP’s presidential candidate Peter Obi, for his loss, describing him as a twin “blight and scourge” on Igboland.

“Peter “Gringory” Obi has set the Igbo political trajectory 24 years back,” Mr Nnamani lamented. “He has become a twin Blight & Scourge on the Land.

Pained by his loss at the poll, Mr Nnamani lamented that Mr Obi’s “devious Opium served to Christians within sections of Nigeria and to Igbo domiciled in different sections of Nigeria is wicked and dangerous

Chimaroke has not hidden his disdain and deep-seated resentment for Obi. In the build up to the presidential election, he took to his social media pages to launch campaign of calumny against Obi and also stated that his candidacy portends danger for the Igbo people.

He campaigned heavily for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu.
