One Musa Mairimi, minister in charge of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Buda community in Kajuru LGA of Kaduna state has been killed by gunmen.
The wife of the clergyman was also abducted by the gunmen.
A resident of the area, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, confirmed the incident to newsmen.
He said the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday.
“The incident happened on Thursday at about 2am. The bandits came and went straight to the residence of the clergyman,” the resident told TheCable.
“They wanted to kidnap him but he resisted them and in the process, they shot him dead and left with his wife.
“Almost on a daily basis, our villages are being attacked and people are being abducted by bandits.”
