Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi, better known as Auxiliary, the embattled former chairman of the disciplinary committee of the Park Management System (PMS) in Oyo State, has stated that the police cannot declare him wanted.
The Police declaration, according to Auxiliary, cannot be for him, and he is not responsible for stockpiling the weapons recently discovered at his residence.
It should be noted that the Oyo State Police Command declared him wanted at a press conference on Friday.
This decision follows a second raid on Lamidi’s hotel on Thursday, during which police discovered additional dangerous weapons.
WITHIN NIGERIA reports that he made the submission on a live radio programme in Ibadan, the state capital, on Saturday morning from his hideout.
When I’m not a fool, how could I have hidden or stockpiled those weapons at my residence? he questioned.
Furthermore, Auxiliary pledged to follow whatever decision Governor Seyi Makinde makes regarding transport unions in the state, describing himself as a peace-loving individual.
He went on to warn his supporters and followers against inciting trouble or engaging in any form of violence in Ibadan and other parts of the state, stating that he does not approve of any form of violence.
Auxiliary spoke highly of Governor Makinde and his ally, Otunba Seye Famojuro, declaring both men to be his benefactors.
According to him, no individual, no matter how powerful, is greater than the government.
Auxiliary also promised to comply with the reform and the integration of other driver unions into the PMS, stating that if the new reform does not favour him, he is willing to accept the outcome.
