JUST-IN: INEC Worried Over Security In Imo, Kogi Ahead Gov Polls

Haruna appealed to all actors to allow peace prevail and enable voters exercise their rights.


Prior to the upcoming governorship elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) raised concern about the level of security in the states of Imo and Kogi.

For a peaceful and successful voting process, the National Commissioner of the commission, Mallam Mohammed Kudu Haruna, emphasised the need for better security measures in the States as well as in Bayelsa.

Wednesday in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, Haruna brought up the issues during a gathering of media executives to discuss the governorship election of 2023.

He appealed to all actors to allow peace prevail and enable voters exercise their rights.
