JUST-IN: It’s Waste Of Judicial Time – Supreme Court Rules On Cross River Gov Poll Appeal

Bassey Otu’s election as Cross River State’s governor has been upheld by the Supreme Court.

The appeal filed by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Sandy Onor was dismissed by the highest court on Friday.

“Appeal is without merit, a waste of judicial time and resources,” declared Helen Ogunwumiju, who read the lead judgement.

The appellants were deemed to have failed to show their case by Justice Helen Ogunwumiju in the lead judgement.

Justice Ogunwumiju proceeded to affirm the concurrent judgments of the election tribunal and Court of Appeal, which affirmed Otu’s election.
