JUST IN: One Injured In Lagos Road Crash

male individual sustained injuries in several road accidents at Anthony along the Gbagada-Oshodi Expressway, Lagos.

The combined efforts of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) operatives and officials from the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LSAMBUS) resulted in the successful rescue of the man from the accident scene.

It was learnt that the driver of a ‘Suzuki’ minibus marked EKY 299 YC while on top speed struggled the right of way (R.O.W) with other vehicles.

The vehicle suddenly developed brake failure and rammed into two other vehicles – a Toyota Corolla with number plate GGE 824 JA and a Toyota Venza marked KSF 954 HG on top of Anthony Bridge.

LASTMA Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, Taofiq Adebayo, said the rescued victim sustained serious internal injuries.

Adebayo added that LASTMA officials have cleared all accidental vehicles off the road and handed them over to Policemen from the Ilupeju Police Division for further investigation.

He said the injured man was rushed to General Hospital at Ikeja by Officials of the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS).

General Manager of LASTMA Olalekan Bakare-Oki appealed to the motoring public to desist from competing right of way with other vehicles and ensure that the braking system of their vehicle is in good condition before embarking on any journey within or outside the state.
