BREAKING: Yoruba Nation separatist, Sunday Igboho returns to Nigeria [VIDEO]

Renowned Freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Igboho, is finally back in Nigeria.

The Yoruba Nation activist return to the country was announced by his spokesman, Olayomi Koiki.

He is in the country for his mother’s burial, according to a statement issued by Koiki on Thursday.

The terse statement was accompanied by a video via his X page on Thursday.

In the video, Igboho could be seen with some people believed to be at the mortuary.

He wrote: “I can confirm that Chief Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho is currently on his way to Igboho Town for the final burial of his mother MRS S.A.ADEYEMO.

“The body of MRS S.A ADEYEMO was picked up from the mortuary in SAKI TOWN some few hours ago.”

Igboho fled Nigeria in 2021 to Benin Republic after he was declared wanted by the Department of State Services, DSS, following an invasion of his Ibadan residence by the secret police over alleged terrorism.

The secret police had declared him wanted over his agitation for the Yoruba Nation and attacks on Fulani herders accused of having attacked farmers in the Southwest.

In the Benin Republic, Igboho was arrested and remanded while attempting to travel to Germany with his wife.

However, he recently regained his freedom after two years in a Beniese prison.

While detained in Benin Republic, Igboho lost his mother who lived in Saki, Oyo State
