REVEALED: What Tinubu discussed with Babangida during Minna closed-door meeting


The details of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s closed door meeting with former military president, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida in Minna have emerged.

Recall that Tinubu had a private meeting with Babangida at his palatial mansion on Monday.

The meeting was part of Tinubu’s one-day state visit to Niger during which he Inaugurated the Agric Mechanisation Revolution Project of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago.

After the inauguration, he went straight to the former Nigerian leader’s residence.

According to Leadership, the president spent over one hour discussing national issues with the host.

Tinubu, during the visit to the state, promised to find lasting solutions to the problems confronting the livestock sector of agriculture.

It was learnt that only Governor Bago was present at the meeting.

Babangida, it was gathered, advised him (Tinubu) as a statesman and highlight the importance of urgently fulfilling his promises to Nigerians.

It was learnt that Babangida advised that all government programmes should be targeted at the common man and promised to open his door to all leaders, but he insisted on maintaining the country’s unity
