A former governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Ekiti State, Mrs. Kemi Elebute-Halle, has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Elebute-Halle, who served as the Director-General of the ADP 2023 Presidential Campaign and held the position of the party’s national deputy chairman (South), was warmly received by the Leader of the APC in Ward 10, Ikole-Ekiti, Aare Afolabi Ogunlaye, alongside the party’s ward chairman, Ogunsunmosule Tunbosun.

In his welcome remarks, Aare Ogunlaye expressed confidence in Elebute-Halle’s capabilities, describing her as a proven asset that would benefit both the party and Ekiti State.

He stated, “Elebute-Halle is a valuable addition. She is like salt; when you buy salt from the market, you don’t need to taste it because its quality is already proven. Similarly, she has demonstrated her value, even when she did not emerge as the winner in the previous election. Her commitment to touching the lives of the people has been consistent. Her decision to join a winning party like ours will undoubtedly bring numerous advantages.”

Mrs. Kemi Elebute-Halle cited the “giant strides” of Governor Biodun Oyebanji and President Bola Tinubu as key factors influencing her decision to join the APC.
