In a decisive operation, military forces targeted terrorists’ hideouts in Tumbuns, Arina Woje area of Borno State, leading to significant casualties and the dispersal of remaining insurgents.

The offensive, executed on Sunday as part of Operation Hadin Kai in the Lake Chad region, resulted in the destruction of the terrorists’ shelters following intelligence reports exposing their malicious activities.

Edward Gabkwet, spokesperson for the Nigerian Air Force, confirmed the operation, highlighting the necessity of airstrikes to combat the terrorists’ presence in the area.

Gabkwet, an Air Vice Marshal, reiterated the military’s commitment to eradicating terrorism and securing the safety of civilians, particularly those facing constant threats from criminal elements.

Following the airstrikes, a thorough assessment revealed numerous terrorists eliminated and their hideouts engulfed in flames, significantly hampering their ability to launch attacks against ground forces.

The airstrikes have not only neutralized terrorist capabilities but also enhanced the security of innocent civilians residing near Arina Woje in Borno State, safeguarding communities from further harm.
