Lagos police arrest physically challenged man for drug trafficking

The Lagos State Police Command reported the apprehension of a physically challenged individual for drug dealing.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer, disclosed this in a statement on Friday, revealing that officers from Akinpelu Police Division made the arrest based on information provided by concerned citizens.

Hundeyin stated that the suspect, identified as a physically disadvantaged beggar, was found in possession of suspected Indian hemp and tramadol capsules upon apprehension.

He said, “A physically challenged man has been arrested by officers from the Akinpelu division. Information was received from concerned Nigerians that he was a drug dealer.

“Upon his arrest, his bag was searched and found in his possession were weed suspected to be Indian hemp and tramadol capsules.

“Investigation is ongoing to apprehend his supplier and others in the supply chain.”
