President Joe Biden announced on Saturday that US forces played a crucial role in neutralizing “nearly all” of the drones and missiles launched by Iran at Israel. He emphasized his unwavering support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and condemned the “brazen” attack by Iran and its proxies operating in Yemen, Syria, and Iraq.

In a statement, Biden revealed his decision to convene the leaders of the G7 nations to coordinate a unified diplomatic response to Iran’s aggression. He denounced the unprecedented air assault on Israeli military installations and underscored the US commitment to Israel’s security.

Biden disclosed that in response to the escalating threat posed by Iran, he had ordered the deployment of US military aircraft and ballistic missile defence destroyers to the Middle East. He credited the skill of US service members for aiding Israel in intercepting the majority of the incoming drones and missiles.

Biden expressed admiration for Israel’s defensive capabilities and assured Netanyahu of America’s steadfast commitment to Israel’s security. He praised Israel’s ability to repel even the most unprecedented attacks, sending a clear message to its adversaries about its resolve to defend itself.

Biden clarified that Iran had targeted no US forces or facilities during the attack.
