Teenager arrested for stealing jingle bells, text books, computers from Lagos school

A 19-year-old man, Mohammed Awal, was arrested for breaking into St. Jude’s Primary School in Ilasamaja, Lagos State, and stealing various items.

The stolen items included writing boards, textbooks, two desktop computers, a printer, two transistor radios, a gas cylinder, a wall clock, and five swivel chairs, as well as two jingle bells.

The Lagos State Neighbourhood Corps (LNSC) apprehended the suspect and handed him over to the police at the Mushin Area Command, Area D Divisional Headquarters.

The General Manager of LNSA, Dr. Ifalade Oyekan, encouraged residents to report any illegal activities in their community to ensure a safer and more secure Lagos.

“The suspect was spotted with a headless knife and confessed to stealing one desktop computer, one printer, two transistor radios, two jingle bells, one gas cylinder, text books, and white board markers, as well as two desktop computers, one wall clock, five swivel chairs, and one transistor radio from St. Jude’s Primary School and selling them to mobile scavengers,” LNSC disclosed on Thursday.
