PHOTOS: NAFDAC seizes counterfeit wines worth N41.2m in Nasarawa market raid


The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) conducted a surprise operation in Nasarawa, targeting illicit goods.

In a Monday update on its X page, NAFDAC revealed that two shops in Mararaba market, New Nyanya, and Masaka were raided.

“The operation targeted counterfeit and adulterated wines and spirits, resulting in the seizure of products valued at over ₦41.2 million,” NAFDAC said.

NAFDAC’s investigation team is now tracing the sources of counterfeit beverages, focusing on importers and manufacturers.

NAFDAC urged citizens to remain vigilant, reporting suspicious products to local offices for swift action and protection.
