Irate youths set ablaze police station in Ondo

One shot dead as rival cult groups clash in Delta

A horde of livid youths have allegedly razed a police station in Ondo State over the death of a boy.

The deceased was said to have been tortured to death while in police custody in Ifon, the headquarters of Ose Local Government Area in the State

The angry youths were said to have gone on rampage and set ablaze the police division after they got wind of the the victim’s death.

According to sources, the friend of the deceased remained in a coma at a hospital.

It was gathered that another building in the area was also reportedly set ablaze during the unrest.

In light of the troubling development, Ondo State Police Commissioner Wilfred Afolabi is said to have left Akure for Ifon to restore order and prevent further violence in the area
