- Yilatda’s appointment was announced during the National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting of the APC at the presidential Villa.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed a new national chairman to pilot the affairs of the party.
The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, emerged as the ruling party’s national chair on Thursday.
Yilatda’s appointment was announced during the National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting of the APC at the presidential Villa.
He will replace Abdullahi Ganduje, who resigned last month due to health challenges.
The Deputy National Chairman (North), Ali Bukar Dalori, assumed office in an acting capacity after Ganduje stepped down.
Stakeholders had expected NEC to ratify Dalori’s role and give him a timeframe within which to organise an elective National Convention to choose a substantive chairman
