A chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Buba Galadima, says the Nigerian socio-political system is not designed for people like him.
He said his creed, disposition and style of politics are not suited to the perilous and unforgiving Nigerian political terrain.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Galadima described himself as a bad politician.
He disclosed that he has not been able to make headway in politics because he is a politician who tells the truth even when nobody wants to hear it.
He asserted that Nigeria does not have politicians as the nation’s politics is filled with usurpers and opportunists.
He said: “There aren’t any politicians in the country, only usurpers in politics, there aren’t politicians, only opportunists in politics.
“I’m a bad one (politician) that is why I have never been a councillor throughout my life despite the struggle.”
She recounted how his daughter was denied her entitlement as a councillor because he is his father.
“My daughter was elected and not appointed. If you are appointed,, it means that you must have taken salarie,s, which she has never done.
“Even her parting gift, which was when she was a councillor, up till now they refused to give her because she is my daughter.
“In the Nigerian context, I’m the worst man, not even a bad man, because Nigeria doesn’t like my type.
“I’m somebody who will look you straight in the eyes and tell you what you don’t want to hear but it’s the truth.”
