Tinubu reshuffles NTA leadership, unveils fresh management team

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Rotimi Pedro as the new director-general of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

The announcement was contained in a statement from the presidency on Wednesday.

Pedro, who hails from Lagos, has more than 20 years of experience spanning broadcasting, sports rights, and media consultancy.

He is also a former top executive at Bloomberg Television Africa, where he played a key role in its African expansion.

Other appointments were also made into the NTA leadership team.

Karimah Bello from Katsina was named executive director of marketing.

Stella Din from Plateau will serve as executive director of news.

Sophia Mohammed, who hails from Adamawa, is to head NTA Enterprises Limited as managing director.

According to the presidency, the appointments are with immediate effect.

Tinubu explained that the changes were aimed at strengthening the national broadcaster for greater unity, cohesion, and soft diplomacy.
