ADC coalition deceiving Nigerians, says Datti Baba-Ahmed

The former vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, has said the coalition formed by the opposition under the platform of the African Democratic Congress, ADC does not have anything to offer Nigeria.

Baba-Ahmed dismissed the ADC coalition, saying they are deceiving Nigerians.

Speaking on Friday when he featured on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme, the former Senator said he is still a member of the Labour Party.

He stated that he wanted former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, to return to the Labour Party.

“They are deceiving us. Yes, I’m a Labour Party for God’s sake. I still want Peter Obi to come back to the Labour Party and contest for the 2027 election.

Asked whether he would be running mate to a presidential candidate in 2027, Baba-Ahmed said, “If Nigeria is still around and there is an electoral system to follow. My love for Nigeria is undying, and I would appropriately associate the group and individuals who are like-minded to restore Nigeria.”

Baba-Ahmed said there are two individuals he would deputise. “The first one has not said anything. The second one is Peter Obi. I’m always with Peter Obi until he decides not to,” he said.
