It also has historical significance. During the civil war, the holy mountain served as a haven for villagers. During the Nigerian Civil War, individuals sheltered in bunkers on the mountain. Because there was only one way to get to the Holy Mountain, it served as an excellent hideout for the people.

Cataract Waterfall

This is one of the major waterfalls in Obudu and the easiest to get to. The other large waterfalls require at least 6 hours of hiking.

Natural Pool And Waterfall

This is one of Obudu Cattle Ranch’s mini waterfalls. The waterfall creates a natural pool at its base and is very accessible. The water stream is quite stunning, but it is extremely chilly. It is divided into two stages: a shortfall with a pool and a longer fall with a deeper pool. The pool is deep enough for swimming, jumping, and diving.

Grotto

The Grotto is another mini waterfall with a pool. Grotto, on the other hand, has been slightly changed to allow water to build at its bed, making a deep pool. The water pool’s depth and width were built artificially.

The Grotto is ideal for bonfires and barbeques. It offers a shaded resting area as well as a fireplace for grilling. The Grotto is one of the most accessible attractions. There are well-designed steps, handrails, and guides to help you reach the waterfall.
