Ex WWE star, Ashley Massaro committed suicide

Ashley Massaro died by hanging herself in her Long Island home, according to a new report. The 39-year-old’s death last week has been ruled “non-criminal,” TMZ reported Tuesday.

Massaro, who battled depression for years, was found unconscious at her home in Smithtown after calling out sick at her job at a local radio station.

She died en route to the hospital as emergency crews attempted life-resuscitating measures on her.

The beloved wrestling star and one-time “Survivor” contestant is survived by her 18-year-old daughter, Alexa Massaro, who shared a touching tribute Monday.

Alexa Massaro posted a photo with her mother on the red carpet following the WWE wrestler’s apparent suicide last Thursday, Fox News reported.

“I wish i could have gotten more recent pictures. I love you, mommy i want to wake up in your arms more than anything i want to give u a big hug please come back this can’t be real.” Alexa reportedly wrote on Instagram.

The 39-year-old Playboy cover girl was reportedly discovered unconscious at her Smithtown home after years of battling depression. Massaro — who retired in 2008 — was the first winner of the WWE Diva Search and competed at two WrestleManias.

Massaro is being laid to rest in Suffolk County. The WWE honored Massaro with a full screen “In Memory” slate on Sunday during the “Money in the Bank” pay-per-view event.
