The suspected killer of a female student of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Chinasa Agbata has been arrested by the Anambra State Police Command.
The undergraduate was said to have been killed by the suspect, Onudili Sontochukwu in March before her corpse was dumped by the gate of the institution.
Speaking with journalists on Wednesday, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Haruna Mohammed, said the suspect was assisting the police with useful information to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The PPRO said the command had also busted a syndicate that specialised in kidnapping university students by using various tricks on them.
Some valuable items such as mobile phones and laptop were recovered from the suspects.
He added that the case was being investigated.
