One person was reported killed with several injured as hoodlums engaged one another in a fight that lasted more than an hour on Wednesday at Badore area of Ajah in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos.

Speaking with newsmen, an eyewitness, Tunde Ajala, said the fight started around 1.38am following a heated argument between two friends, who had sung at a night club.

He added that security men, who became annoyed with the attitude of the two friends, ordered them out of the club.

Ajala noted that one of the evicted friends, identified simply as Nejo, rushed to his car, fetched a machete and struck at his friend’s head.

Nejo was trying to drive out of the area while his injured friend grabbed the steering wheel and struggled with the driver.

The victim allegedly fell off the vehicle while one of the rear tyres crushed him and killed him on the spot.

His death was said to have enraged hoodlums around, who chased after Nejo and engaged his men in a fight, which resulted in many getting injured.

Reports revealed that the Divisional Police Officer of the Lamgbasa Police Station, Adaobi Okafor, mobilised her men to the area to quell the trouble while four hoodlums, who tried to prevent the police from carrying out their duties, were arrested.
