Kizz Daniel Distances Self From Vanguard’s Report About His Alleged Comment On COZA Pastor Fatoyinbo, Calls Story ‘False And Fabricated’

Kizz Daniel Calls Out Vanguard Newspaper Over 'Fabricated' Publication

Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel has taken to social media to lambaste popular news company, Vanguard Nigeria for publishing fake story about him on the trending alleged rape scandal of Pastor Abiodun Fatoyinbo, the General Overseer of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).

The media house in its report, ‘Celebrities have no right to judge Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo’ attributed to Kizz Daniel, claimed the ‘Mama’ singer said that celebrities faulting the COZA pastor brainless.

According to vanguard, Kizz Daniel said; “Wizkid is the only celebrity in Nigeria that has brain, the rest of them are brainless. All you care about is social media trends, hypocrites. Rape or no rape, you don’t have the right to accuse Mr. Biodun because you all have no proof but statements from a woman that just obviously needs fame.

“Instead of creating trends and protest against no light, water, education, good health center in our country Nigeria you all hypocrites decided to make trend for a rape case without proof. I am disappointed in all the celebrities that support this trend. Because if this woman that’s accused of rape is not a celebrity or you know you won’t gain more publicity by making this rape case trend you won’t even post shit. Hypocrites.”

Kizz Daniel has, however, made a counterstatement to rubbish the news published on July 3, 2019 at 7:47 AM on the online platform of the newspaper. The ‘Woju’ singer, on his twitter and instagram pages, said he is currently busy with his tour in the US and didn’t make such statement attributed to him.

In his counterstatement released across his social media, Kizz Daniel stated thus; “My attention has been drawn to a publication by the Vanguard newspaper stating that I took sides with the embattled Pastor of COZA , Abidoudn Fatoyinbo.

“I will like to categorically state that I never granted any interview with vanguard or any newspaper.

“I am currently busy on tour in the US and haven’t had the time to discuss the issue in my closet let alone call industry mates names.

“Please disregard this news article making rounds. It is false and fabricated, I have not spoken to any journalist regarding the said matter or any other matter including music in recent times.

Kizz Daniel further threatened to sue any media house that publishes the story fabricated by Vanguard or any untrue story about him. “Any platform(s) that publishes this news or any unverified news about Kizz Daniel and FlyBoy INC. will face legal action,” he wrote on instagram.
